-- Revenues increased 57% and Net income increased 181%. -- Diluted earnings per share increased to $0.18 from $0.06. -- Membership base grew to 5.8 million customers. -- Total operating cash flow was $14.2 million.

MemberWorks Incorporated MBRS , a leading provider of consumer and membership services through affinity marketing and on-line channels, announced today record financial results for its fiscal 2000 second quarter ended December 31, 1999.

The company reported revenues of $78.9 million, an increase of 57% over $50.1 million reported in the second fiscal quarter of 1999, or an increase of 10% sequentially over $71.7 million reported in the first fiscal quarter of 2000. The increase in revenues is primarily attributable to the Company's strong fundamentals in its core service offerings, combined with the expansion of new products and marketing channels.

Net income for the quarter nearly tripled to $3.0 million when compared to $1.1 million reported in the second quarter of fiscal 1999. On a diluted per share basis, net income for the fiscal second quarter 2000 was $0.18 compared to $0.06 reported in the comparable prior year period.
