OK... one more post.. and then my lunch. ;) ...buy something else...more "worthy" of your intelligence... Mary! I have never insulted you! Not in the slightest. So why do you feel you must insult me? And I know intimately what transcoding is. I am an audio engineer, and in that context I transcoded 3 project files this morning from '32 bit float' wav files to both mp3 and ra files. Transcoding, is the act of changing the format of data from one kind to another... Native code generally means code that has been written and compiled on and for a specific system. I assume when you talk about 'native code' you mean the ability for an audio player to play a format without first converting it to a format it directly supports (natively). Now... my sandwich awaits! MaryinRed...smile...don't be so...mean to people...even if they...disagree...with you...lol
