Hi Paul:

In effort to keep it simple and not an accountant's paradise, I'll bet $100 that AMD Y2000 eps (all in) is 1.25 times or more than Intel's (all in) Y2000 eps...i.e if Intel posts their $3.00 for Y2000 on an after tax basis, then AMD needs to post $3.75 or better for me to win! If that sounds reasonable to you, let's get it on!

P.S. I have to admit, Paul, I'm surprised by your response. I didn't think you'd consider cutting the mustard on this one!

I'll take this bet - with one stipulation - that we compare EPS BEFORE TAXES - since AMD doesn't expect to pay taxes this year - and I don't think Intel should be given a 31% handicap.

Paul, now who would have thought just 6 mos. ago that such a bet were possible.
