Nah. My assumptions are proven by the EGRP stock tumble.

1) NASDAQ rally this PM today means that rate fears have subsided for now. Yet curiously, EGRP is not participating today; instead you tumbled even more in the PM...could it be that EGRP is not the super growth company the longs are praying for? Even AMTD managed to stay on the positive side.

2) Shorts will fuel the run. You know, that's gotta be the most espoused rally theory out there for any stock in the toilet. It may work for stocks with thin floats, but for EGRP, I doubt if short covering will fuel the climb to $30 that many are wishing for at this point. I doubt if the 25 million shares that you show as short on EGRP are owned mostly by individuals. Hell, EGRP probably shorted itself because that's has been the only way for them to make money as of late :)

3) E-Groupies are under the impression that the SuperBowl adds were well worth the money spent. Let's see, EGRP's great ad that said they wasted $2 million...what did that bring EGRP? Can they really explain what they do in 30 seconds. Can they really convince people to move their life savings from one OLB to EGRP in 30 seconds? Can they convince people to move from ML to EGRP in 30 seconds? Nope. Yeah, a couple of people heard the name EGRP, but just about any one with money to invest already know the OLB and what they are. The audience that first heard EGRP on Sunday were probably your hillbillies in West Virginia more interest in booze. Great way to spend the money you charged on 133,000 trades. Way to go CC!

4) As for putting gains into the pockets of the longs? Hardly. Most of the longs have been here since at least $30. EGRP just broke $20 today...even if you made a 50% gain in 5 days of short covering, you will only break even. What's more, so many longs are desperate to cash out that you can safely bet against rally based on short covering.

The only thing better for the longs in the long run is to invest in a real company...not some 2-bit outfit who can't even cash a check right.

i feel sorry for those who bought this stock on margin.
EGRP is being torpedoed from all sides.
why? because it's being SUCCESSFUL and they fear ETrade.
Schwab is brick and mortar just like them and is pretty tame, and the other smaller online brokers are harmless.

ETrade is the runaway guy they have to stop before he wins the race.
