U.S. Senate panel approves Greenspan as Fed chair
WASHINGTON, Feb 1 (Reuters) - The U.S. Senate Banking Committee voted on Tuesday to approve the nomination of Alan Greenspan to a fourth term as chairman of the Federal Reserve.

His nomination was approved by voice vote without objection by 11 Senators on the 20-strong committee. The panel's approval clears the way for the nomination to be voted on by the full Senate.

Earlier on Tuesday, Senate Republican Leader Trent Lott said the Senate was likely to ``overwhelmingly' confirm Greenspan on Thursday.

I don't think this thread's lack of posting on gold signals a bottom..
but I guess you are going to have to update your goldsheet..and you
might see the bottom before us..how many juniors have switched out of mining and into high tech etc? or internet/ how many have gone out of business? how much exploration is now being carried on?
I wonder if the ten year will be substituted for ta analysis..so
far the government hasn't threatened to dwindle that supply :-)
nice to see you are adding some much needed sanity to the thread..
doubt you will get attacked no matter what you write.(you are way too good a source of information
