But this is at best meaningless, even if technically correct. They COULD be exercised, if the executives thought the stock was about to drop even more, but unless the options are about to EXPIRE, the situation is exactly like every other company every day of the year that has outstanding exercisable options. The financial interest of the optionholder is to hold until expiration unless the stock is thought to have peaked.

I disagree with your statements above, but I don't have time to go over my reasonings.
