SBC did not yank out CDMA architecture. SBC is part of CellularOne. Ameritech and CellOne share the original licenses in places like Chicago. They can't have both in one company. One had to go. Ameritech has the weakest offering in Chicago, as I would assume it is elsewhere. TDMA is already there. Nothing is being replaced. If one wants to speak about a zealot, you need only look within. Ride that TDMA steam engine my friend. You have quite a trip ahead of you.

If I am myopic, then you have the pupils of a smack ridden addict. Can you not see that W-CDMA is not a negative for QCOM? Deploy it at will I say. Royalties flow regardless. We have 3 licensees to prove that already(LU, Philips,ERICY). Having said that, I don't think it will be a factor for years. On the other hand, 1XRTT is available now.
