Mark,

Thanks. My wife thinks I'm crazy for posting again, but it has been hard for me to remain totally isolated from so many of my old friends. Today, I happened to have a little relevant information, and it gave me a chance to break the ice again. Today is an aberration, however. I happened to have some extra time, but I don't intend to be a regular poster again, unless I have something particularly relevant.

I certainly hope that I have a reputation for being unbiased, or at least that I have owned up to any possible biases. I am constantly amazed at the reaction to what I think are intelligent questions. Wouldn't any investor want to know these things, or is ignorance truly bliss? If Ancor really is as big a part of the Fibre Channel picture as everyone seems to think, they should be able to stand the scrutiny. And if the answers to these questions are positive, that just makes everyone more confident despite the constant attacks.

You should hear the questions I ask about the other companies I am invested in. One company is currently involved in a lawsuit that has been decided (favorably) in two district courts, but has been appealed to a higher court. I went so far as to get copies of both lower court decisions, and read them for myself. I felt this gave me a better chance of understanding what might happen in the appeal. Maybe asking for those reports would be considered out of line by some here, but this is my money on the line. In this particular case, the decisions support the company completely. My asking for them didn't make me a short or a FUDster.

I don't understand Greg Reyes either. It seems as if he has nothing to gain by angering Sun. The only reason I can think of is to keep the Brocade freight train rolling along a little longer, until some concrete evidence is found to prove that they aren't the 800-pound gorilla of this market. (I think a $10 Million quarter for Ancor would just about do it. <g>)
