Malcolm I believe JDSU's barriers to entry are significantly greater than DELL and involve much more than just 'packing components into a box'. The two are not comparable. Great returns or not I would have never owned DELL. Too easy for significant competition to materialize overnight and the market to deteriate into a margin reducing price war. Read more about JDSU's products, their complexity, and the testing/certification these products must go through and I think you will understand a little better what I mean when I say there are significant "barriers to entry". I am very happy with my JDSU and would much rather have it than MSFT at this point in time.

Bruce .. I have my own credit card thanks <g>.
