Spytrdr, I don't like having to defend Captain Metric but the pompous jerkweed does have some valid points about ET 1. High commissions - I can and do pay $19.95 to place a NASDAQ trade with them versus $7.95 in my SureTrade account. 2. Unreliable technical service - For the past 2 weeks my account balance has been off by almost $3K (which effects my trading ability). In spite of over 10 calls to ET the problem is still not fixed. 3. Lost checks - I sent ET a check for my margin account via FedEx. I had the tracking number and the name of the person who signed for it. After a week they still could not find it so I finally stopped payment and closed out the position. I mention all this to highlight that the problems Captain Metric aka USMA mentions are real. However, rather than reading them as a reason to dump ET I view them as the result of the growth experienced by ET. Growth that it appears they were not prepared to handle. As I said previously this is not unlike AOL several years ago. My bet is that ET WILL rise to the challenge and correct their problems. When they do then I plan to pull out Captain Metric's banal posts and email them to and ask him how it feels to have missed a 10 bagger. ------------------------------------------------------------ Post #11284 you definitely have an agenda. high commissions?? unreliable technical service??? did you break your PC?? personnel that loses checks???? ??? what are you smoking. none of those things ever happened to me. in my case i just don't like the website design and the order entry system.
