Sold under the pretense that they were compliant. It is too bad that MSFT just couldn't COMPETE by introducing a compliant JVM that provided better performance than any third-party JVMs. What they have done is deny those Windows users who would like to run standardized cross-platform Java apps the ability to do so. In essence, retarding progress which otherwise might benefit the consumer.
