TOKYO (AP) -- Toyota Motor Corp. (TM: news, msgs) has reached separate deals with General Motors Corp.
(GM: news, msgs) and Volkswagen on sharing design and development systems, a newspaper reported
Wednesday.

Toyota will set up common computer systems with the U.S. and German automakers to share information on car
and auto parts development by 2001, the Yomiuri Shimbun said.

Natsuki Den, a spokeswoman for Toyota, could not confirm the report.

The newspaper, Japan's largest, said the companies hope to cut costs and gain advantages as competition to
create new technology intensifies in the auto industry.

The three companies may also agree to create a unified design system in the future, the Yomiuri said.

The Yomiuri said that because the agreement will create a framework for joint auto development, it could be a step
toward a mega-alliance between the top carmakers in Japan, North America and Europe.

Glen, what's your most optimistic estimate for CMRC? And
how long does it take to reach that level?

My estimate is for CMRC to reach 80B mkt cap in 3 years
in the most favorable environment for CMRC.

Danny,

I wish I really had a clue. I am guessing a market cap of $45 billion and that should be in two years.

Please understand it is a gut feel and I have nothing to back it off.
