This article has been refuted by a man who was at the Hanoi Hilton with John McCain, and a first hand witness to the events--Gen. James Stockdale. Or is Stockdale a liar as well?

P.S. You'll notice that Hackworth quotes no one by name. I might as well write: "A former POW tells me that the real Hackworth was killed in Vietnam, and the man now claiming to be Hackworth is in reality a Russian spy. Several highly placed former KGB operatives confirm this."

Excuse me, but The Good Colonel has taken One Too many Doses, Eaten One Too many 'Roots'..."hey, hey, my, my"...!

Hackworth...?

[LoF'L]...'real war hero', my buttocks.

"McCain's valor awards are based on what happened in 1967 and thereafter, when, during his 23rd mission over Vietnam, he was shot down, seriously injured, captured and spent five and a half brutal years as a POW."

Five F'ing years in a prison camp...!?

The Man's a Patriot.

"McCain certainly doesn't appear to be a war hero by conventional standards, but rather a tough survivor whose handlers are overplaying the war hero card."

There's no 'war hero card'...only War Heroes.
