The TRGpro is basically a modified 3Com Corp. Palm IIIx with a CompactFlash slot ? a feature long overdue among Palm OS-based devices

Binx, re:"47% of respondents ... didn't know the maximum resolution of their digital camera."

In my youth, I met a man married for nearly a decade who had no clue as to whether he had ever inserted his privates into his wife's privates. As he stated, "the lights were always dim, I just climbed on top and moved .. and that's all I know for sure."

P.T. Barnum warned never to underestimate the intelligence of the American public.

PS The man's wife eventually "left him for another man".

Binx,

re:IDC survey

Not surprisingly, over 93% of respondents also own a film camera. However, 53% of those who owned both actually used the digital camera more often. Additionally, of those who paid $500 or more for their digital camera, 61% used it more often than the film camera.

Key findings:

* Over 75% of the respondents said they would likely buy another digital camera.

* Almost 94% of the respondents who print images from their digital camera said they used a personal printer.

I think that these are very important points. I see that a 5 year target for domination of the photo industry is well within reach. Also, if Epson continues to improve on its high quality, inexpensive, photorealistic inkjet printers there will be no need to go to the local photo developer at all.
