Perry,
I was able to buy 200 shares last week through e*trade last week without a problem. I put a market order in at night and it was transacted at the open the next day.

Perry,

it's probably like Bruce said, first thing in the morning, or market orders.
the MMs are too much in control it seems, to give limit orders any consideration.
i would call though, and make sure it's been cancelled.

wouldn't want to get filled at 17 on the way to 6.

Perry: My experience on E-Trade with STFZF includes the following:

(1) I doubt this is why you failed to score, but it goes without saying that one generally has to talk to an E-Trade broker to get a limit order on a foreign stock (or at least I do)... earlier, when I tried to place such an E-Trade order online, it was cancelled (though not always right away, which was maddening).

(2) FWIW, the following happened to me about 10 days ago: After STFZF closed at 17 and change, I placed a stop sell order on E-Trade at 14-3/8 in the interests of profit protection. The next day, the trading range for STFZF was 17-19/64 to 19-1/2... yet 45 min into the day my order got "executed" at 17.15. That's right: (a) the price never came close to 14-3/8, and (b) I sold at a price lower than the day's low. They eventually reversed the execution at my request. E-Trade glitch? Market-maker shenanigans? Who knows?....

<<Has anyone else tried to buy this through E-trade>>

I have bought STFZF in my online accounts with Schwab and Waterhouse -- about 3 different times. These are recent purchases and I put in limit orders in the mid 20s and got them filled quickly (at an ave. purchase price of around $22). The STFZF seems to bounce around a lot and it makes sense to use limit orders. Yet, whether you buy the stock in the high teens or low 20s should not make much difference a few months from now. The Nanovation technology is truly revolutionary and I believe they have the 'potential to eliminate digital gridlock.' With our investment in Stamford International we are taking on risk but we are also indirectly part owners of Nanovation -- a firm that I feel will soon become very well known and very highly valued. Right now I like the risk/reward trade-off and I have added STFZF to each of my accounts.

Good Luck Investing.

Best Regards,

Scott
