I don't know who EG is, but I have never know ANY oil & gas company to every make any money in Columbia. Ask Amoco how they feel about Columbia, or Harkin, or Seven Seas etc etc etc.

Columbia has one of they highest operating costs of any place in the world, and one of the worst tax structures.

I tend not to invest in companies who operate in Columbia or several other South American countries.

Sportsman,

I took a long look at OIL last spring and didn't like their exposure in Columbia. This is a country were the government has lost control of countryside and the urban areas are very dangerous for foreigners.

The political risk seems too high

just my 2 cents..
