CB did not say that all who wave the rebel flag are white racists. She demonstrated that a substantial number of them are, and that the stereotype of rebel-flag-wavers as racists is not without some actual foundation.

I personally can't imagine why anyone would care to wave the rebel flag; it seems a silly thing to get incensed about. I certainly wouldn't want to ban anyone from flying it in front of their house, but I would also not be surprised or offended if someone decided to fling a bag of Something Fragrant on the lawn of the house before which it flew. And if someone decided to march through an African-American neighborhood waving that flag, I wouldn't try to stop them, but neither would I raise a finger to stop the local brothers from gently sliding that flagpole into the place where the sun don't shine.

Which I guess puts me in nihil's anarchist camp.
