Essentially the companies are tied. If you include 16-bit, MWY edges ahead. Here are some posts from the yahoo board: (Quietstock) An interesting CC from across the ocean (London that is) Virgin Megastore (Picadilly Circus) Whole section dedicated to WWF2k for N64. Quoted as number 2 on the charts behind the Donkey. I got into chatting with a very helpful lad who told me that (at least for this store) WWF2k is outselling the Donkey almost two to one. Most interesting was the statement about them (Virgin) having been out of stock for a while and only recently having received more. I thought that th esold-out only applied to the US, but we are all apparently incorrect. Most interesting comment was his question to me on "what do I know about the WWF Playstation game?". Apparently a bunch of people are asking for it already. He mentioned something like "... we are thinking of setting up a waiting list for it". I was shocked. I thought that Smackdown was not going to come to Europe this Quarter. Anybody know anything different? Last but not least, I saw very little of THQ in the GBC section, so I inquired about a couple of titles. Then I found another interesting item. Toy Story 2 is coming over here now (February) ... and I quote "we already have preorders for GBC Toy Story 2". Another srprise to me that they planned to do that. Last and biggest surprise: the most games sold over the Holiday season ... GBC. --------- (Rock) Rugrats Scavenger Hunt 64 was on many European Charts in October and November along with WLS Soccer 64.And of course FIFA was released in Europe in the 4Q.Also Indy and Medicopter were PC hits in Germany.I do believe some of our GBC titles havent been released in Europe until this quarter, and still no confirmation of Studio Tour being released over there.I would be willing to wager it will be a greater success in Europe than here that being the case.Let us also not forget,Road Rash,Motocross and Destruction Derby were not released until the 4Q as opposed to the 3Q here in the states.Im sure they werent large shipments but this is all revenues derived from overseas and this is truly what will blow the shorts out of the water on the 23rd and beyond.Be there. -------- (moi) Looks to me like foreign releases in Q1 should have above avg. sell-through. WM2K reorders, some Smackdown I believe, Toy Story 2 GBC, and finally, Studio Tour. In the same respect, I think Q1 is going to be excellent sell-through wise in the US. The Brunswick and GBC releases will be lightly shipped. There's big demand for Toy Story 2 and WM2K reorders. Stuff already in the channel will continue to be worked through the system. And then Smackdown could actually sell out an initial order. Seems like excellent sell-through to me. Marc
