I just received an email update from Mark Brown (Spartacus Capital's President). The jest of our exchange was that I wanted to know what has been happening with that company's implementation of their business plan. Here is what he told me . . . - The shareholder's meeting is done (less than six months after the IPO). - The deal is all done subject to final closing of the financing of $2 million. - But the main thing to report is that MyCityMarket.com has added about 18 new clients. Mark is pleased with the respectable names that they have signed. Next week, they will be announcing the names of these latest merchants to sign up. - MyCityMarket.com has also hired an excellent person in Seattle (ex-Microsoft). - They are also putting the final touches on a P.R. campaign for both the stock and the website. In one of the last posts I had put out, I had mentioned that this company's business plan was interesting and it had merit, but it was all about their ability to execute on that plan. From this update, it is nice to see that they have not been sitting on their hands. Although there is a lot of work to do (isn't there always with any business), they seem to be on the right track.
