cree lists a few possible competitors in their sec filings. cree ceo and chief tech officer have said repeatedly that the competition is 6 years behind in crystal growth and purity. they see no viable competition and do not believe a high quality SiC crystal can be grown without violating cree's IP, which they have vowed to defend. i am not saying it cannot be done...i am saying it has not been done...on the other hand,is that not true for all technology? Bill, cree does seem to be in an unbelievable position...absolutely incredible position. i follow this puppy everyday. if i see a crack anywhere, i will be the first to holler...so far the wall looks rock solid to me. unclewest@51%CREE.com
