True enough CC,
A junior geologist friend of my recently summarized the possible picture of Saaverda West : " This property has been the focus of attention for the past two years and a great deal of time and money have been spent preparing for the current drill holes.
While MAI have been trying to JV many of their properties in Argentina with little success, they have repeatedly rejected numerous offers from Majors to JV this property.
the immediate success of the first deep hole signals the potential for a very large and lucrative mine on the property.
MAI exploration efforts will likely shift immediately to drill off this ore body.
Approximate target dimensions, 1000 metres x 500 metres x 200 metres = 100 million cubic metres or about 200 to 250 million tonnes of ore with an anticipated grade similar to the discovery hole with higher grade pockets.
200 x 4 grams per ton gold and 600 grams per ton silver = 25 miilon ounces of gold and 3 + billion ounces of silver potential.
Drilling in the area above the target yeilded results as follows :
" The structure containsed a series of discontinous breccia pipes and fault zones with dessimenated mineralization, and is coincident with the geophysical anomalies described above. The best hole EP-12 intersectd up to 6.39 g/t (0.187 oz/t) gold and 928.9 g/t ( 27.12 oz/t ) silver over 70 feet.

This was not a vein intersection. It is disseminated mineralization in the breccia left by hydrothermal activity.

As always we will have to wait for assays and more drilling to confirm the theories.
From the latest News Release :
" Three 820 foot (250 metre) diamond core holes are being drilled to test a coincident IP (induced polarization) and resistivity geophysical anomaly interpreted to indicate increased silicification and sulfide content at depth. The specific target at Saavedra West is 3,280 feet long (1000 m. ) long by 1640 feet wide (500 m.) anomaly about 328 feet (100 m. ) below the surface. drilling thus far in the first deep test hole has confirmed the coincident IP and resistivity geophysical anomaly by intersecting silicified sulfide-rich rocks."

Enjoy ...SW.
