We used to play Dictionary in law school, and those were some of the best and funniest evenings I can remember. Everyone would bring potluck, since we had no money, and then we would play word games all night.
I can't imagine doing that at my next dinner party: announcing at the end of dinner that we would now play dictionary. I wonder why. Instead everyone sits around and talks about their "stuff". Well, that's an exaggeration and unfair of me. Maybe they're all thinking that they'd rather play a word game?
Naw.
(And we played like you; we never tried to connect the meaning to the word. They'd be all over the place which is what makes them so funny)
