Claude:

Thanks for the posts. How do you now contrast and compare Corner Bay (BAY) to Intrepid (IAU)?

Claude, I agree with what you just say and posted as what you feel is a good
company based on your research into it. This is what most posters really
want, the information that points to a possible company that money can be
made thru an investment. Some will hype a loser, but hopefully most will
only mention what looks like a winner. Also good to hear about are those
companies that seem not to deliver on promise, and hopefully the back and
forth any arguments are left on that thread and not continued here.

If this thread could be like a Switzerland neutral place where folks
could try and get a better understanding of heated and one sided posts
like on the Gold Price Monitor thread, that if possible, leave that
stuff "over there" and ask for facts and whatever here without doing
an back and forth and duplicate that stuff over there.

Might this thread become a polite place like Bobby wants,
and also a place that Hutch sees as useful as in
"how to make money in gold or silver"
rather than the how or why or motivation or agenda.

Simple, lets take whats present in the market place and use it short
or long term to make money. We share knowledge, some like I will suck
in and have little valuable to give out, but in a balance of things
I will take it as is, and if its a loser, I blame noone and accept the
hot tip or good lead as just a possible that did not pan out.

<<Excellent initiative, we need a space that will serve as a main directory
to the best mining ideas of the day.
As you know the sector is dead..still there are a few excellent stories
which are in development at the moment.
I cannot post on this thread without mentioning my favorite silver play:
Corner Bay (BAY.T) which had an excellent performance in recent months:>>

If I remember correctly you have a web site called something like OrMetal ?

Also, the SI member Bob Johnson also has one open for free that contains lots
of information that even you might use.

It would sure be nice for guys like me that have limited insight,
and even less than useful information to give, to be able to ask folks
like you and Bob Johnson(hopefully he will post here) questions.

The only way I can see this new thread as a great place to attend for just
reading and asking questions for a better understanding, is if it does not
have the type of personal back and forth, and I'm right & your wrong,
and one sided posts like pro Barrick and the flip side of anti Barrick,
and also the GATA "message" for today.

For myself, I would leave my personal and subjective thoughts on another
thread like the Gold Price monitor, and here its objective only as in what
to do to make money, period.

A simple example I can give, and for me its a real question I have.

I will mention GATA and Bill Murphy only in the limited way that I am willing
to speculate that their message that the price of silver will rocket upwards
this year. ok, now I wish to put my money into that thought, but not into
established producing, or halted, proven silver companies, but into those
that have access to possible silver desposites yet unmined or proven.
These i would see as penny stocks under one dollar, and I want to put a small
amount like $500 into about 3 or more of them, and if the price of silver
explodes, then I can get hopefully multiples on atleast one of them. But the
bottom line here is that I do not have the information already obtained by
others that have already done the research to find good ones. The only reason
I can see someone sharing this info is because they are already invested into
these companies and I now buying shares helps their position atleast a little.

For example, CILV otc:bb Silver Assets is now five cents a share,
they have a web site, little current news releases out,
last news was about 6 months ago.
So for 20 for 1 dollar my $500 gets 10,000 shares.
But maybe the company is a scam or fake in that the only money being made
is by the officers of the company for their paychecks each week as they
sell millions of shares at pennies with no intention of being successful.
