mark, as hesitant as i am to disagree with you, i have to contest with you your view that scarecrow has turned into a pugnacious warrior. when i was newbie, scarecrow was engaged in a classic battle to hound tokyo joe off this board. it was over my head, and i thought scarecrow was being hard on the guy at the time (hey, what did i know about frontrunning and securities fraud?). i was wrong, as i have had more than one occasion to reflect, but scarecrow has been ever vigilant and pugnacious in combing threadlice out of here. hugo what's his name hasn't been here in a while, has he? so i would disagree with you that he has turned into a warrior. i would argue he has been a pugnacious warrior at least as long as i've been here.

otherwise, you're exactly right.

Mark --

I dunno 'bout AMZN, either. I buy a few books a year and love the convenience. But I wouldn't touch that stock. It's going to be the Apple II I'net stocks: all the rage in its day, but then a trivia question 10 years later. Bezos as man of the year is my contrarian confirmation(TM).

I, too, an cautious about AH trades, but I see greater liquidity in them lately, so I have a higher degree of confidence than, say, even 6-12 months ago. Not many times in recent months where they've been a head fake that I've seen.

BTW, you've turned into a pugnatious warrior. Quite frankly, I'm relieved that your boiling point with respect to CMGI threadlice is a good deal lower than mine.

Pugnacious? ME? Heck, I haven't turned into a pugnacious warrior -- guess I've been one all along. Although few here could testify to it based on my postings, I'm really a very gentle person -- albeit one with an extremely low tolerance for agressively shoddy thinkers. [I mean, really -- she says the stock has WEAKNESS when it's just bounced off of 101 in the same week to close at 119... Order me some more of that weakness!]

Like Marshall said -- you shoulda been here when the soon-to-be-convicted Tokyo Joe Park was here polluting us on an hourly basis. THAT, my friend, was pugnacious. Not intellectual, but amusing in a penny arcade sense.

Thanks for continuing to post here, Mark. You have a gift of inclusion that makes all feel welcome. All the more remarkable coming from the person we'd all agree is the sanest and smartest o' the bunch.
