Hi Rob, I am looking at the option tables and thinking:
1. Place limit order to buy 5 Mar-70 for $2 1/2; 4 Mar-80 for $4; and should be filled if Amzn goes to $85 and $90 respectively. I will short shares if over $90. However, the problem is that those are big "Ifs". If those "ifs" don't happen tomorrow/next few days, then I will just wait for better oppts.

The 12/99 SI of 27M shares was based on 12/12 closing(12/15 as the settlement date) and the 1/00 SI of 32M shares was based on 1/12/00 closing. So lots of the shares were shorted above $90/$80. Short covering was to be expected but Amzn no longer has the short squeezing power.

My thought is that Amzn will try bond-issurance again soon as the rates are rising. The old convertible carries a 4.75% rate and has been almost completed converted and most of the converted shares are sold into the float already. The current long rate is much higher than 4.75%.

p.s. Rob, I use Fido for most of my option trades.
