p, << Must have just gotten tired of typing in the figures. >> Your darned right I did (CTRL-C, CTRL-V, etc.) <g> BTW: If you spot any errors I made in transposing and editing from the original I would appreciate you pointing them out. It is possible. I preferred not to present the numbers in fixed font particularly when the original I referenced was available. << Oh, yeah that was from the NOK thread, hmmmm. >> Yes, that company that does not buy Q ASICs. Which was part of the point of the exercise. Note that the numbers are very CDMA positive, particularly in light of last years subscriber forecasts from the major research firms. Also in light of the heavy commitment out of the GSM community worldwide to GPRS. I would also like to repeat the caveat I placed in my original post. >> Caveat: I wouldn't take these numbers to the bank until they are scrutinized against some of the other reports recently published or soon to be published. I am particularly leery of the 100% WAP enabled statement and related forecasts. << Note that I wrote this before the news from the SIMalliance and Virgin today (streamlined WAP on a SIM rather than WAP in handset). Also as posted in the original, the only current references I know of for comparison (although several more will be released shortly). These were originally submitted to this board by Scott Zion. >> The excellent .pdf file with slides of the Strategis Group Conference Call to Discuss Take-Off of 2.5G/3G which forecast worldwide technology growth are at:strategisgroup.com Strategis Group presentation On "Us Wireless Handsets: Marketshare And Trends" is at:strategisgroup.com << << this is great news, expensive reports are still being sold that are generated by GSM shills >> Would you pay $2,850 for a report generated by a CDMA shill? Would you invest as a result? - Eric -
