I'm not familiar with that board but why not? I guess that could depend on your case? The type and order you place the cards in your system. Some cards now have big heat sinks and fans on them?

Sue, I don't mean to jump in front of Howard, but, if you push a PCI card in slot, all the chips are on bottom of card. If you push a ISA card in slot all the chips are on top of card. by using the two adjacent slots, when you use a PCI, you cannot use the adjoining ISA slot,(not enough room) vice versa. You use one or the other.

Other question, you only need 1 NIC card in each computer to network two computers together. Using a crossover cable. More than two computers requires a hub. In Master computer (Server) you only need 1 NIC, the other card is not called a NIC, rather a Modem Card, either Cable or Dial Up.

Howard? help.:)

Regards, /jw

Yes they are very close. The ISA slot is not sharing a PCI slot like you see on some motherboards. However, because it is so close to a PCI connector not all ISA printed circuit cards can be install in the ISA slot. I am only guessing but it looks like a low profile ISA card could be used in this motherboard. If a low profile ISA card was use an insulator should be placed between the ISA card and the PCI card in the adjacent slot. For a picture of this motherboard see:

I apologize for the bad information I previously posted about being able to simultaneously use both the ISA slot and the 6 PCI slots.

Please give much mode credence to the guy at the computer shop statement and jw's reply than my guess.
