Hi Donnie:
Re: The old saying, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. In retrospect it was glaringly obvious that Dell would have a bad report this Feb. Sales were down by 400mm(?) from expectations in Feb of 1999 on a weak excuse. Dell has not been big in the consumer market for Christmas sales and IMO corporations had no inclination to upgrade until new Msft programs and speedier processors came out and as usual CPQ reduced prices yesterday to (apparently) clear out inventory. (Dell also cut prices)
Now that yr2k is mostly over, maybe corporations have settled on
the new years budget ,can expedite computer and software upgrades, and will try to pick-up many bargains from PC mfgrs.
May earnings could look good.
This no help deciding what price to pay for Dell but the best months for dell stock appreciation is in summer -Jun, Jul, Aug
NAS = +1600
