Dorothy,

So we went from 58 to 50 in the span of 3 days? This may be a little too much to fast. I agree with Suresh's appraisal of the feel of indecision on the COMPX. Looking at the range today, we had a spinning top (open and close nearly the same). But, we are also sitting just above the 20 day EMA which should provide support (4011).

Dorothy and Jim,

Does anyone know of a program that can provide real-time
alerts on user-defined conditions such as current price
hitting the 50-day moving average? Preferably one that
is stand-alone or can be used with QCharts and is
reasonably-priced...

I not familiar with any program that will provide real time alerts on user defined
conditions, but you may want to check out the Pristine ESP product at
pristine.com

Disclaimer: I am affiliated with this product and helped to create it (Whew! Glad I got
that off my chest <smile>).

Anyway, the Pristine ESP product does have many generic alerts such as stocks
crossing their 40 day and 200 day moving averages, 52 week highs/lows, 2 month
highs/lows, etc. Best of all, it is reasonably price... =>FREE for the Pristine ESP Basic
version. For more information on the alerts available on this free version, see
pristine.com

Check it out at the web site, or feel free to ask any additional questions you may have.
Note: I've created a new SI thread for this product at #Subject-33119.

Good luck,
-Eric
