Paul, I have sat thru numerous presentations where
Sun painted the world as "Server Centric" and Oracle as "Database Centric"


I have sat through a few of those too. Generally, the presenter makes block diagrams with his "stuff" in big blocks, and the connecting "stuff" in much smaller blocks. Funny.

I am curious as to Bill's server-centric predictions also. Craig Barrett of Intel has said that only 5% of the servers that will be needed for the Internet alone in 2005 are out there now. Lot of servers to be sold if he's right.
