Lots of union unrest in South Africa. Amplats claims strikes won't impact output unless they get much worse. There are definite political problems in South Africa I think.

Goodness only knows whether scarcity of supply from Russia will be maintained by them in an orderly way, to keep prices up.

Palladium fixed at 515 and plat at 511. Target = 550. Then a trading range between 500 and 600 for rest of the year (I optimistically predict) if Russians maintain control of supply, and don't dump. They might consider simply auctioning off metal starting at base price of 500 as minimum, always. That way, price can't fall!
