Sue, you can use a ISA (16 bit) NIC, limited to 10mb transfer rate. All PCI (32 bit) slots are nicer, 100mb transfer rate between computers. I have an ISA NIC in 486 and PCI in Server. Transfer rate limited to 10mbps. Slow but effective. All PCI would be nicer.
