OT: Frank and C...this is what I was getting at. I know Gemstar may have a good ticket to the future, but I have some concerns over their possible, later gorilla status.

I shot my TV when our first son was born and haven't used the thing since (except for selected videos). This probably has something to do with my perspective over the whole thing.

That said, I just don't see people taking the time to do these programing things. Think about how many people have their red time mark flashing on their VCR. I know these things are available in the stores now, but I don't know anyone myself who has one. Until there is some kind of signal from the population that this technology will take off...well, you know.

You see, my brother said to me that he just likes to "veg" in front of the TV when he gets home...with clicker in hand. He really is not interested in planning ahead, selecting programs, being interactive...the tv is a "veg" device. Driving down to Blockbuster is his version of programing.

I've done the dd Frank, but yet unconvinced. At least unconvinced enough to not take money from my other gorillas and put it here.
