Jeffrey, that's hard to say. but both the timing of the BoE announcement and the funny way Kuwait and Jordan were entering the gold leasing market at such a fortuitous moment for the shorts are highly suspicious. i have no doubt that the market is being manipulated and most probably with the connivance of people in very high places. so while the allegations made in that article can not be proven yet, there is certainly a kernel of truth there. note that there's a supply/demand deficit amounting to 1500 tons per year now. no way is the gold price in equilibrium at current levels. since both the Euro-zone CB's and the IMF are out of the picture, the current price can only be the result of extensive manipulation. it'll work until it doesn't anymore....
