Command Systems Establishes Command e-Solutions Division to Focus Exclusively
(Business Wire 02/03 08:59:39)
on e-Business Opportunities Business/Technology Editors FARMINGTON, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 3, 2000-- Command e-Solutions, is a Separate e-Business Development Division, Targeting Business to Business Internet Projects, Silicon Alley Partnerships and Strategic e-Business Consulting on a Global Basis. Command Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CMND) announced today the formation of Command e-Solutions, an e-business division of Command Systems. The entire focus of Command e-Solutions is devoted to e-business development on a national and international basis; driving business to business solutions that create a competitive edge and solve business problems for customers. This separate division will concentrate on the end-business user, have a distinct website - CommandeSolutions.com - and advertise based on the slogan "Take Command of the Internet". Command Systems' existing e-business projects at a major Pharmaceutical Company, one of the nation's largest Beverage Companies, a Fortune 500 Financial Services Company, a leading Healthcare Organization, Connecticut State Government and others will be transferred to the Command e-Solutions Division, to leverage the Internet development expertise in both Command Systems' U.S. operations and its Offshore Technology Resource Center in Bangalore, India. In addition, existing e-business affiliations and vendor relationships, such as: Microsoft, WRQ, Oracle, Cisco and Compaq will also migrate to the Command e-Solutions Division. "Command e-Solutions will combine the e-business development talents of both our United States and India based project teams to provide customers with high quality Internet technology capabilities, utilizing our multi-site development methodology which is comprehensive, efficient and cost-effective," said Edward G. Caputo, President and CEO of Command Systems. "We will build a completely new sales organization with experience in selling e-business solutions on a global basis to end-business users and take advantage of any e-business contacts or relationships that they may have with previous customers. By leveraging the success of our current customer projects and the strength of Command Systems' vendor relationships, combined with access to our onshore and offshore talent pool, I believe Command e-Solutions will have a competitive advantage, both on a cost and capabilities basis. All of Command Systems' e-business and related activity, including our previously announced affiliation with WRQ and its Apptrieve(TM) product suite, will funnel through Command e-Solutions." Command Systems will continue to offer traditional information technology services on a regional basis to Information Technology organizations, through its existing direct sales distribution channel and cross-sell Command e-Solutions, as opportunities arise in current customer accounts. This will strengthen Command Systems' position as a Systems Integrator and consolidate all e-business architecture, design, development and implementation services within Command e-Solutions. In addition to e-business solutions, the Command Systems Integrated Solution Strategy will continue to provide: project management, application design and architecture, network infrastructure, database tools and services, application development, support, maintenance outsourcing and staff augmentation utilizing the Command Systems' multi-site methodology.
