SUNW will DOMINATE the industrial strength market as EMC does the same in storage.


Maybe. When Itanium is available, there will be servers you can buy coming up to the power of your realistic maximum Sun systems. I know they are scalable up to 1024 processors, or something, but who really buys more than 32. I know there are tons of other issues in software and RAS between Sun and Intel based, but they are going to catch up in power. Next year, or in 2002, with McKinley chips, Intel based might surpass Sun in processing power. It ain't a lock with Sun.
