The market never ceases to amaze. Normally, when a company misses as badly as MDSI did, regardless of how many statements as to how bright the future looks, the stock still gets punished. This is the first time I can remember where the market focused on the future (except in cases in which the market had already priced in the negative quarter - that wasn't the case here). The future prospects, plus the fact that wireless stocks have really taken off in the past couple weeks, IMHO, explains the reaction. Possibly also the fact that on February 18, the stock will be added to a Canadian index (although I don't think that played much of a part in the stock price surge).

Glad I didn't sell at the open, though.

Good luck.
