Indeed scientifically it develops "human characteristics" at conception, as genetically it clearly appears on the human continuum (and not that of an ape or cabbage) at that point.

Without a developed nervous system ,a consciousness, a sense of self awareness, an ability to think have feelings,it is more vegetable than human.
