Craig,
I think you also missed the point about the keylab test. Let's look at BRCD's intention for the test, it totally undermined the result of the test. It's method did not warrant any creditable acceptance of the results. From talking to the engineers of MTIC, the newest silkworms and SANBOX are actually comparable, but because of ANCR's chipset, it allow ANCR to charge less. I am very curious as to what the engineers from CPQ think about the ANCR' switches from their currently ongoing test.

<<Just because the results showed that Brocade had the better switch, according to KeyLabs, you discount the WHOLE THING!>>

We and everyone else on the planet including there own customer, IBM.

<<Get your blinders off, people!>>

<<Now, nobody seems to care. Just as they don't seem to care whether the actual numbers show any real signs of improvement. I think you guys are getting lazy.>>

Craig I was happy when I first saw your return. Sad thst you even sold your IRA shares. Your ranting is bordering onthe absurd, however. Unfortunately I think you just want cheaper shares of ANCR at this point. Obviously know you can't affect the price of ANCR by posting here. And a burr in your saddle? That is just a euphemism for an expletive. If you want to just play devil's advocate, go ahead. But don't make it seem like you are the only objective one. Being calm and satisfied with my own ANCR share count makes me much more objective than you, in your situation. Lacking them.

Craig, The test was discussed in depth on this thread when it came out. My comment to you on this, is, would a General Motors, pay a company to compare a 2000 GM car to a 1997 Ford, set up the comparison so the Ford is guaranteed to fail, no representatives from Ford allowed to be present to insure fairness, then publish the report without mentioning anything about the Ford being a 1997 model or that it was paid for by GM and no Ford representatives were present. Consumers would not like this. They would ask, why didn't GM compete against a 2000 model Ford and allow the Ford team to be at the event. It would smell very bad.

It is good to stir the pot and create thorough discussion, but your arguments on many of these issues show a total lack of faith in Ancor, and overly confident feelings about Brocade. One reason SI is so interesting, is discussions here are not just theoretical discussions, but actually affect each of us in the real world, based on our investments. It is called putting your money where your mouth is. I think you did this when you sold at 17 and missed the run to 94. Now it appears you are coming with some final parting shots, so if it tanks, you can say I told you so. I am not sure if your opinions are coming from the peanut gallery or the the playing field. We all saw what happened to Ed when he went from Bull to Bear and wanted everyone to sell. I hope this isn't happening to you in a milder form. This is your chance to get back in, yet you are picking up where you left off, as "a doubting Thomas."

I do agree the Optical Networking, is very important and a good point. I hope Ancor is looking at ways to make their product work well with DWDM devices. I would hate to see Brocade pull out a trump card with this one. I am glad you posted your thoughts so we know where you stand. For the sake of Ancor longs, I hope your track record out of the starting gates (on Ancor), continues to be wrong. Good luck with your other investments, I hope you pick some winners!

Regards,
JW
