Your point is well taken. But since Gold is a Currency, it can be impacted by a decisive world event. One of the classic stereotypes of a Gold Bug is one who sees doom and gloom in the days and months ahead, propelling the POG higher as a safe haven. Perhaps that is one of the reasons why the POG is where it is.

too bad nobody discussing what nem released instead of just posting the news release..I guess it takes some thought--and analysis..
easier I guess just to copy and keep on pasting impending doom and gloom..

That story is over a week old (January 26th)
I discussed it, and mentioned I was most impressed by the cash flow numbers. Barrick's EPS are due out soon and will also be quite impresive.
