Poet,

I mainly trade equity options so I'm no index expert, but I take an index position occasionally. If you're trading indexes in any size I think the futures market is probably a better place.

I've been lurking around here since you and Jill started, but don't post often. Keep up the good work - I think this site is an important place for people to learn and discuss options strategies.
