George, the BB stocks are flying again... re: gold stocks and final washout: that seems to be the growing consensus. however, the platinum group metals are incredibly strong, a fact no gold watcher deigns to remark upon. i agree that the correlation isn't what it used to be, but gold could surprise by playing catch-up all of a sudden. note that there is practically no supply overhang uncertainty left in the gold market, but there's still a vast short position that awaits covering. so far, the shorts have been waiting this out, hoping for another down-leg. if we don't get that, look for another covering panic soon.
