Jill - RE - JDSU

I bought Feb 180 calls on the dip...haven't sold any puts, but I like the play...love the stock for the long term, and it certainly makes sense try to capitalize on the volatility along the way...I'm a little skeptical of the equity market through here...credit spreads keep weakening, and non-farm is looming large...only a real melt down will bring JDSU back to the 180's-190's...

As for index options, it makes sense to dabble if you are trading general market direction, as opposed to specific stock plays...

Like the thread...hopefully more participants will jump on board...

Any views on CSCO here?

You have mentioned that you often exercise your options.
I will be exercising several PMCS & JDSU as they mature, these were purchased 6 months out and 10%OTM without the intent to purchase but as I have learned more about these stocks I've decided to turn them into LTB&Hs. Would you explain the strategy that you use (length of time and % ITM or OTM) when purchasing an option that you plan to exercise.

Thanks
Duncan
