Imagine the endzone dances that the fans love so much, a good looking quarterback that has the charisma of THE ROCK, a very evil heel linebacker (ala Stone Cold) that tries to KILL quarterbacks, brawls that go pretty much unpunished by the league, sideline microphones that are not muted, cheerleaders that strip tease the audience down to a bikini, onfield microphones that players wear inside their helmets, that they use to taunt the crowd or other teams, a 7 second delay in case any bad words need to be muted (F word, God's name in vain, FCC regs you know)but all other taunts are allowed. Loud rock and roll music playing, players given lengthy interviews some of which are scripted, great personalities developed off field on TV shows and in pregame and post game interviews, commercial endorsements, a video game made by THQI, the game maker that makes the WWF games--there is alot of good upside to this potentially.

Rugrats Kart Racing and more bullish words from Halpern

Looks like we just may have Rugrats Kart Racing next Q3, which is pretty sweet. Just think, by Q4 we will not only have our WWF lineup fully complete (2 PSX games, 2 N64 games, WWF online, and WWF Dreamcast) but will have
essentially two new Rugrats PSX games and a new N64 game and a new (or two if you count Anjelica reorders) GBC
just in time for the Rugrats in Paris movie.

Wow.

Wow.

Wow.

What if Summoner is a hit? Or Evil Dead? Or Scooby? Or Power Rangers? Not to mention having a Rugrats $20
PSX game as well.

ugr.net

Also, if you look at THQ.coms release schedule page you may see a game or two we don't know about. 2 Ricky GBCs?

Now, mainly because of the wrestling transition Q3 and Q4 were just okay. But the comps are going to be very easy for 2000. Could get real scary for the shorts.

Not to mention that the whole Street and media world could "get" games by mid-year. Look at how EA tacked on
forty points from 80 to 120 on its AOL announcement.

Our buddy Stu is really grokking this. And apparently so is THQ because that GA acquisition is sweet.

I bet MTV would translate pretty well online too. Hosted on the MTV site, great music, cool games...

From TSC today:

<<Bucking the solo-speaker trend of
conference presenters, theglobe.com's well-oiled four-man team
nearly outnumbered the assembled audience. Stewart Halpern,
a new-media and entertainment analyst at Banc of America,
insisted that theglobe.com is "a leader in the community area,
especially in the games area, which I consider the most fertile
area in entertainment." >>

Btw, Rugrats Kart seems a natural to me because parents could probably stand to play it with the kids, unlike Scavenger Hunt or the psx games, IMO.
