DSL vs Cable

Well, I run three computers (2 today<g>) on cable.....with DSL you can only run one per connection from what I understand. Cable has better bandwidth and is likely to increase w/ lower prices in the near future....

Thanks mr.mark. ISP thinks they can do it. I'm 28000' from USW Station downtown.

Thank you for inquiring about Internetxxxx Dinobyte DSL. Your location indicates that you have a good possibility of being able to use this service. DinoByte DSL is an always-on connection to the Internet at speeds from 256kbps. DSL to your residence is $42.00 per month with a $99.00 set up fee. A data line will be ordered for your residence at the expense of Internetxxx. A 6-month contract is required. The process to order service is as follows: 1. Reply to this
email indicating that you want to order high speed broadband Internet DSL service from Internetxxx. 2. Upon receipt of
the email, the InternetXXX High Speed Internet Services Agreement and a Letter of Authorization allowing XXX Networks to order a data line into your residence will be mailed to you.3. Sign the InternetXXX High Speed Internet Services Agreement and Letter of Authorization and mail back to our offices.4. An InternetXXX staff member will contact you to schedule installation. We will try to keep you informed throughout the process, which will be approximately 30 days. If you have any questions or concerns, please email dinobyte@internetXXX.com. We will respond as quickly as possible.

I'll go for it if qualified. Wonder if the $99 setup includes Modem? have e-mail in asking them.

The prefs.js thingy. Guess I fouled up when setting up my account with NSCP. I have USER/USER1, the prefs.js is in user1, however FIND cannot find it. I can click on it but cannot EDIT it. I'm OK as is. Thanks for trouble.

Regards, /jw

ps; perhaps go with DSL for 6 months, Maybe Cable will be available by then. Cancel 6 mo. contract and try cable??????
