Yes going short is limited to 100% gain per trade but long can go forever so I'd like to find good longs I own GNSS PWR and a few dogs. This year I emphasized not losing and 1999 is about +120%, lucky I admit but not from gambling so it isn't +1200% as last year all gambling won. The house eventually does win and the inmates will lose control. I added VERT and CMRC (shorts) to my fantasy portfolio at investmenthouse.com in one week the leaders there are up 100-200% mostly from placing big bets on OTC:BB stocks.
