Folks -- Here's the latest short-interest info on CMGI for January: 01/00 Shares Short: 14,218,326 ADV: 14,279,264 Cover Ratio: 1.00 12/99 Shares Short: 9,429,831 ADV: 6,118,623 Cover Ratio: 1.54 11/99 Shares Short: 10,393,116 ADV: 3,042,752 Cover Ratio: 3.42 Notes: 1. Even with our split, the ADV is at a 12-month (all time??) high. (Note that, for some reason, since the Jan. split, SI has the ADV all screwed up -- like 70 million shares -- as if!) 2. Short positions are at a 12-month (all time?) high. It'll be interesting to see how we look on 3/1 -- presumably many shorts who rode down from 150-ish have covered, so I'd expect to see the shares short decline significantly from January... Scarecrow
