it sure sounds like Dinobyte will pay for the installation cost. But who pays the monthly fee?>

Howard, thanks for the Heads UP questions to ask. On another Page of local ISP pricings looks a little different. Shown at bottom of reply. I have second line, $20 mo, ISP $18 mo.
Guess they add the $42. month on top. Not sure as yet.

DinoByte DSL is an ADSL (asymetric digital subscriber line) connection into your home or office through a phone line that is dedicated for your connection to the Internet. DinoByte DSL will require that a data line (if one does not yet exist) to be added to your home or office at NO COST to you. The charge for the line is included with your service. If you already have a second line in your house, you may choose to use that line for your DinoByteDSL, but you will not be able to use that line for phone calls until later in the year 2000. In 2000, we will be able to provide both telephone and data on the same line. The line is for your Internet connection only at this time. This means that you will have an ?always-on? connection to the Internet. Just click on your browser button and you are connected!

Fast Speeds, DynoByte DSL is a bi-directional Internet connection offering minimum speeds from 256kbps-that is 5-10 times faster than your fastest dial up connection! DinoByte
DSL may start at 256kbps, but it is also available at 512kbps, 768kbps, 1Mbps, 4Mbps, and 7Mbps.

Residential DinoByte DSL starts at $42.00 per month including modem rental at 256kbps with a $99.00 setup fee. Business DinoByte DSL starts at $150 per month including modem rental with a $700 setup fee at speeds up to 768kbps. Higher speeds are available, please ask for pricing.

================================
HDSL up to 768k (c) Available in your area only.
$750.00, $150.00.
=====================================================
(c) - Does not include LADA Circuit.
---------------------------------------
The US West charges for a LADA circuit are $23.15 per month and a $95.00 setup fee.

ps; i'll pin down these quoted charges, Thanks, /jw

pps; the BIG prices looks like they are for HDSL, where we're talking ADSL. confusing for me!
