Here is a point I would like to get some clarification.

As of now COMS to PALM ratio distribution is about 1: 1.5.
What happens if 3COM buys some other company or issues
more shares (before the record date for holding COMS shares)
before PALM shares are distributed as dividend?

Won't that reduce the current 1.5 shares number?

Is there any restriction on companies doing such a dilutive
transaction?
