I make a distinction between LTBH and trading. LTBH goes "nowhere" and is not "out"...good to have LTBH in taxable acct. to gain benefits of cap appreciation without being taxed, and to move big gains to LTCG status for lower rate. However, tax not an issue in IRA, and with excess cash or margin in taxable, so might as well make hay when the momo's rising and sell before the band breaks up. IRA's a great invention for the ole in-n-out as that dude in Clockwork Orange says (w/r/t another kettle of fish).

Hmm...I don't know where you got the idea that I was out.

I haven't sold a single QCOM share in over a year (except to buy Q LEAPs to increase leverage). You don't trade gorillas.

All I do is buy more when the train slows down enough for me to grab a snack at the "Stock-in-the-Box" drive by window.

Why would anyone want to get out of a train before arriving at their destination?
